Recreation Services wants you to enjoy your experience. In the event of a
cancellation, time or location change, participants will be notified with as
much lead time as possible. Approved refunds are subject to a 10%
administration fee. Please allow 3 weeks for processing of a refund
cheque. Payments made by credit card will be refunded back to the card.
Program Cancellations:
Some programs are cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. Should we
cancel a program, your preference of a full refund, credit on account, or
enrollment in another available program will be made.
Ongoing classes and programs:
If you find that the class you registered for is not what you expected and
you want to cancel, please make sure you call BEFORE the second class
and we will refund you for the remaining sessions. No refunds are given
after the 2nd session except where circumstances are beyond an individual’s
control.
Leagues, Camps, Courses, Special Events & One Day Programs:
Due to the nature of these programs, if you need to cancel a registration
please be sure to notify us 3 working days before the start date of the program.
No refunds will be given if notification is less than 3 working days
except where circumstances are beyond an individual’s control.
Waitlists:
If you are on a waitlist and you receive a call that there is space available,
we will hold the spot for 24 hrs only. On long weekends, this time will be
extended until the first business day after the holiday.
You may have heard about a new Children’s Fitness Tax Credit on
eligible programs of a physical nature. The tax credit will allow parents
to claim a maximum of $500 per year for eligible fees paid for
each child who is under 16 at any time during the year.
Eligibility is based on a number of definitions and criteria and generally
refers to a program that is:
- Ongoing (either a min. of 8 wks duration with a min. of 1 session
per wk or, in the case of children’s camps, 5 consecutive days)
- Supervised
- Suitable for children and
- Substantially all of the activities must include a significant amount
of physical activity that contributes to cardio-respiratory endurance
plus one or more of: muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility,
or balance.

to eligibility.
Please keep your registration receipts to apply for the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit. No further receipts will be issued. If you lose your receipts we will gladly reprint them for you. Please ensure that we have your most current address and contact information.
