Wiggle & Giggle 6mo-18mo
A fun program that lets you and your little one meet new friends, play games and enjoy free-play gym activities. Perfect for new moms! Oct 24 Class in PV Gym
Creative Gym 12mo-3yrs
Parent participation program for you and your child involving gym activities, songs, simple games, pasting, painting, table toys, playdough and much, much more.
A,B,C & Gym,2,3 30mo-5yrs
While participating in gym activities, your child will be introduced to numbers, letters, colors, shapes, stories and much, much more. A great introduction to prepare children for preschool.
Little Rascals 18mo‐6yrs
FAMILY FUN TIME This drop-in program is designed for families to play and stay together. The gym is open to play whatever sport you want from soccer to floor hockey to basketball. The bouncy castle is also available for those big kids who still like to bounce! Parent participation required.
Beginner Dance 4-6yrs
Introduction to Dance for boys and girls using basic ballet positions of the feet and arms. The class begins with a fun warm up, playful floor stretches, then simple steps and creative movements using marches, gallops and bunny hops. Class takes place in the Auditorium, East
Breakout Room. No drop-ins taken.

Tiny Tappers 3‐5yrs
This class is for those little ones who love to stamp their feet. In this class kids will learn the basic steps of tap such as stomps, stamps, heel-steps, step-heels and shuffles. At the end of the course there will be a mini performance for parents. Class takes place in the Auditorium, Room West.
Musical Mini’s 3‐5yrs
These musical stars will learn fun musical theatre games, such as freeze dance, shark and guess my emotion. They will get an introduction to singing a song as well as learn some simple musical theatre dance moves. Location: Halina Centre Rm
Learn the basic skills of gymnastics, tumbling and creative movement in a fun, non-competitive environment. Each session progresses to offer more challenge to your growing gymnast!
This program for little bikers focuses on developing and improving balance and steering using PREbikes. Riders will build confidence in a fun, friendly and safe environment. PREbikes and helmets are provided.
Play, Putter, Swim 3-6yrs
A fun filled program with gym activities, games,songs, pasting, painting and stories all finished off with a swim lesson in the pool.
Sports for Shorts 3-5yrs
Try a variety of sports and games, including soccer, floor hockey, ringette, soft lacrosse, basketball, parachute games and more. Activities will focus on building and practicing the fundamental skills of different sports with participation as the focus. Please wear running shoes. Parents are welcome to join in the fun.
Skate N’ Play 3-6yrs
A fun filled program that starts in the Dogwood gym for activities, games and songs with our Playschool Staff, then we go Skating at the Priest Valley Arena, (parents are asked to meet at 11:15 to help with getting on skates). Children need to have their own Skates and Helmet.

Boots to Blades I 3‐5yrs
For lil’ skaters (preschoolers) just learning. Kids will play on the ice with toys and get a great introduction to the skating scene in a fun, non-threatening environment.
Boots to Blades II 3‐5yrs
The next step in the Boots to Blades program. For the preschool skater who is able to walk unassisted and is ready for gliding and more advanced skating. Kids must have taken Boots to Blades I prior to taking this class, or have been approved by one of our instructors.
Blades & Pucks 4-6yrs
Your child’s first intro to hockey. Kids will work on skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting through age/skill appropriate drills. This program is a great precursor for parents looking to enroll their kids in our NHL (Novice Hockey League). Youth program for the non-competitive minded or into minor hockey for the competitive minded. Need to bring stick, helmet with cage, gloves, wind/snow pants, and skates.

Preschool 3-4 yrs (born 2011 & 2012) – School Year Sep 2015 – Jun 2016
Tiny Tots offers your child a variety of unique experiences in a licensed Preschool setting with ECE qualified, dedicated and caring staff. The program is designed to develop your child’s sensory and perception skills, as well as to provide a positive environment for building social relationships with other children. Your child will participate in gluing, painting, music, games, story time, ABC’s and 123’s, field trips, cooking experiences, physical activities, socializing with other children and more. Participants in our 4 year old only classes will also experience the Fun Family Phonics, a colourful and interactive program designed to help teach your child to read. These preschool classes start in September.

Three year old Mon/Wed and Tues/Thurs classes – held in the Discovery classroom
Three/Four year old Friday class – held in the Discovery classroom.
Four year old and afternoon classes – held in the Ogopogo classroom.
NEW – French / Spanish language introduction Mon / Wed 12:30-3pm class.
Learn both French and Spanish basic instruction, phrases, calendar time, games and songs.
This program will have the same great structure as the other Tiny Tots programs with the same friendly staff. Every week we will be working on new simple phrases and concepts that will fit the themes we will be learning.
*Note: This is a fun language introduction and is not an immersion program.
Fun Family Phonics – Four year old classes will experience the Fun Family Phonics a colourful and interactive program designed to help teach your child to read. The phonics program combines humorous stories about why letters make the sounds they do with colourful pictures to illustrate the stories.
Registration – At the time of registration you will need to provide us with the registration deposit and a payment type for the monthly fees; your Visa or MC # and expiry date (your card will be processed on the 1st day of each month.) or nine (9) postdated cheques, payable to City of Vernon and dated the 1st day of every month September 1 to May 1. A $25.00 service charge for any cheques returned NSF by your bank.

NOTE: Monthly fees are averaged out over the entire school term. A registration deposit of one month fee is due at time of registration, and is not refundable (but will be applied to Tiny Tots June fee.)
We require a two week notice of withdrawal from the Tiny Tots program. Charges will be made according to when the notice is given. In case of the cancellation of a class a full refund will be provided.
Tiny Tot fees are tax deductible. Keep your receipts for tax purposes.
Tiny Tots Staff – Positive Role Models for Children
MISS LISA has been our Head Instructor since 2008 and she has her Early Childhood Education Certificate, basic first aid/cpr and food safety certificate. She enjoys making learning fun through play and is qualified to run our Fun Family phonics program. She has been in child care since 1998 and brings a wealth of knowledge about child development and program planning impelmentation with her years of experience in child care management.
MISS TRENNA started at Tiny Tots as a supported child care worker in 2007 and with her many years of child care experience, and passion for teaching, Trenna completed her ECE assistant certification and license to practice and is now a fully licensed instructor. Trenna also has her basic first aid/cpr and food safety course and is also qualified to run the Fun Family Phonics program.
MISS KRISTY is the Lead instructor in our Discovery Classroom, and has been with the recreation Services since 1993 and has been an instructor with Tiny Tots since 2003. Kristy is certified in Early Childhood Education, Supported Child Care and Infant & Toddler care.
MISS TERI has been an Assistant Instructor at Tiny Tots since 2011. Teri has her certified Education Assistant, basic first aid/cpr and food safety certificate. She ran a home daycare for ten years prior to coming to Tiny Tots and has volunteered in the community in a number of roles as instructor, coach, program leader and parent advocate.
